It is with great joy that we announce the birth of our daughter Sophia Leyna Walter. She was born on 09/08/2007 at 9am, weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces (2864 grams), and was 19 inches (48 centimeters) tall.

After a great year at the University of Connecticut, I am excited to start my tenure-track position as Assistant Professor at Portland State University's School of Business Administration. From September 2006, I will teach the undergraduate capstone course in strategic management and pursue my research projects in this fantastic West Coast city.

Equipped with a full scholarship from the Swiss National Fund, I will spend a year as a visiting doctoral student at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to attending doctoral seminars and research presentations at one of the world's most prestigious academic institutions, I also intend to finish my dissertation during that timeframe.
